Octagon Ring
In 1989 Roberto Callegari created a handcrafted rose gold ring with a magnificent 8 ct antique cut diamond. A unique jewel that combines tradition and innovation by referring to the figure of the octagon.
In the East, specifically in China; the octagon represents one of the greatest known symbols of the Taoist current. This symbol is called Bagua or Pakua. The meaning of bagua (ba gua) is eight numbers. They can be considered symbolic representations of the family units. They represent in fact father, mother and the various degrees of the children, both females and males. It is from this meaning that the Octagon ring is born, a creation that refers to the family and to the importance of bonds with the people we love.
This geometric elegance inspired the new collection that celebrates our 110 years. Elisabetta, Andrea and Beppe, the third generation at the helm of the family business, have reinterpreted the Octagon ring through the use of innovative materials by combining titanium with pink gold. The contrast between the use of these materials and the uniqueness of the stones makes the octagon ring a symbol of history, passion and craftsmanship.
